Clarkton Hotel Review

The Clarkton (revisited)

It’s been awhile since I first covered the Clarkton Hotel in Angeles City as my first hotel review. I have been visiting this hotel in the Philippines over and over again and there have been many changes to this establishment. First of all they have constructed a new 4-story annex with 30 spacious studio rooms. The new rooms are bigger than deluxe rooms inside the old building (and they are about twice as expensive). Older rooms were completely renovated in 2009 and 2010. An elevator for the annex was the newest addition in summer 2010. Overall, they do keep Clarkton Hotel in excellent shape. Most other houses show far more tear and wear.

It’s a pity their gym is still using old faulty equipment. It would be great to see them improve this experience for guests that wish to stay fit. Their WIFI connection is free for all, but since they changed from paid to free WIFI bandwidth load slowed down speed considerably. Sometimes it’s hard to establish a reliable connection. Accommodation is great with large, comfortable beds. Pillows are still a bit bulky and hard, so I am happy to bring my own along. Their chamber maids are fantastic people who take good care of guest’s need. Very friendly and helpful. I always leave them a nice tip and some chocolate bars. Visit the Clarkton website to get more information. I still like this place although the gym is falling apart, internet slows and prices are increasing. It’s still one of the best maintained Angeles City Hotels.
